Under the rubble of a genocide, these incredible short films – about children’s hopes and dreams for a better life – were produced by Vanguard Media, a grassroots media organisation in Khan Yunis which has received funds from Sheffield Palestine Cultural Exchange

On Palestine Prisoners Day, Sheffield traffic reminded of the terrible plight of child prisoners held by Israeli occupation.

Israel remains the only country to put children in front of military courts as a matter of routine.

This weekend when we remember the prisoners and call for their release join us on Saturday for a silent march at 11.45 on Devonshire Green

On Sunday, please come to see Freedom to Run - a film about running, and about being allowed the freedom to run. Something occupation and incarceration prevents. 6pm Showroom 5

Freedom to run or roam is a cornerstone of Sheffield culture. It is the antithesis of imprisonment.

So as we finish our weekend of solidarity with Palestinian prisoners during which many of us will have run in solidarity with Palestine - some a whole marathon- please join us at the Showroom for Freedom to Run : a film tracing some runners from Scotland on an epic mental journey of awareness.

We will be joined by Diala Isid co-founder of the Right to Movement campaign and co-producer of the film for a Q and A after.

In advance of Palestinian Child Prisoners Day on April 5th a solid band of activists rallied at the station today.

Palestinian children as young as 12 are routinely:

Taken from their homes at gunpoint in night-time raids by soldiers.

Blindfolded, bound and shackled.

Interrogated without a lawyer or relative being present and with no audio-visual recording.

Put into solitary confinement.

Forced to sign confessions (often in Hebrew – a language they do not understand).
