Support Palestinian Prisoners, Tuesday 8th September, 7pm
Support Palestinian Prisoners.
A Heeley 4 Palestine event at Meersbrook Park Church, 173 Chesterfield Road, S8 0RP
The meeting will focus on Palestinian Political Prisoners, under imminent threat of death, and what we can
do to support the campaign for their freedom, and for peace and justice for Palestine. There will also
be information about UK people in prison for acting to save lives in Palestine, and to stop arms to Israel
being sent from the UK, including from Sheffield.

Above, Dr Abu Safiya, who worked as the director and a pediatrician at Kamal Adwan Hospital, located in Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza, and currently still in prison, suffering from daily torture, walks towards his captors in Gaza in December 2024.
The meeting will include
- Extracts of the talks given by ex Palestinian Political Prisoners in the Palestine Voices Tent at Small Park Big Run in Meersbrook Park in June.
- An exhibition on Palestinian Political Prisoners exhibition will be on view at the meeting
- A speaker from the city wide Palestine Political Prisoners Campaign providing information about
the campaign, including the petition calling for our MPs to call for meaningful action by our
Government. - Questions and discussion.

National march for Palestine
Nablus live link! 17th October.

Prompt start 5.30-7 pm, the live link: A mass choir sings Sheffield’s musical solidarity to Nablus in English and Arabic. Full audience participation, with flag waving! Women solidarity singers Tadhamon and two young musicians complete the Sheffield lineup. A band of young SEEDS members in Nablus play their debut public performance with fiery verse from popular poet Saed Abu Hijleh.
7 – 8 pm: great vegetarian food followed by a lively auction of original art work and craft.
8-11 pm: JuJu Club rounds off the concert with two amazing Sheffield bands supported by global music based DJs. Tavira an 8-piece band will kick off, followed by Kiziah and the Kings with a high energy brass-fuelled mix of ska, reggae, funk, soul and rock that’s both ferociously contemporary and deeply rooted.
Funds raised will support three great community projects in Nablus.
