Sheffield Coalition and Sheffield Stand up to Raci

Sheffield Coalition and Sheffield Stand up to Racism contributed two coaches to be part of 200,000 people marching strong against the far right and for Palestine yesterday.

Fantastic atmosphere and in spite of a forensic search found no hate on this march!😂

In great contrast to just round the corner where the Met Police who, for reasons best known to themselves, allowed Tommy Robinson and his small minded boys to gather and spew hate and beer on the floor.

It was noteworthy that for such a large march the policing was very very light. An acknowledgement surely if any were needed that the reality is the matches for Palestine and against a genocide are not a risk to anyone.

Meanwhile the police were grabbing some overtime by managing the violence from the far right in Trafalgar Square.

On Palestine Prisoners Day, Sheffield traffic reminded of the terrible plight of child prisoners held by Israeli occupation.

Israel remains the only country to put children in front of military courts as a matter of routine.

This weekend when we remember the prisoners and call for their release join us on Saturday for a silent march at 11.45 on Devonshire Green
