Musheir Al Farra , Sheffield based Palestinian from Khan Yunis, who has spearheaded the Emergency Relief Fund, has arranged for some clothing to be bought to ensure children keep warm.
He says
I am delighted ( in the middle of this tragedy) to report that the team is negotiating with another wholesaler north of Deir El Balah to purchase clothes for boys and girls from 6 months to 14 years old. I have already instructed the team to buy as many as they can , up to 500 children. The cost is an average of 85 IS , approximately £20. 500*20 =£10,000. I am told that the quality is very good and warm. Our aim is to pay for a minimum of 500 sets of clothing – please donate if you are able to our Emergency Gaza fund The clothing will be delivered to the tented camps in Al Mawasy where families are enduring freezing conditions.
