Sanctions on Israel, including a complete suspension of all export licences to Israel, must be the next step to be taken by the UK government if it is serious about protecting the human rights of the villagers of Umm Al Kheir
Israel, as the occupying power, are responsible for ensuring the resident population can continue to lead their lives. Random and malicious orders for demolition of homes in whole or in part contravenes this.
The demolition orders are targeting the Al Hathaleen family one of whose members, Awadha, was so brutally murdered on 28th July.
