Sheffield City Centre was packed yesterday (21st October 2023) as thousands came together to raise their voices and express their rage against the Israeli bombardment of Gaza.
Palestinian, Muslim, Christian and Jewish voices were heard before a march round the centre. The cowardly and unprincipled actions of the US, UK and other NATO governments standing so close to Israel were loudly derided. The anguish pain and suffering of Palestinian however were keynotes from people with family in Gaza and the clear need for a ceaefire and scaled-up humanitarian aid loudly demanded.
