On 15th May Sheffield Coalition Against Israeli Apartheid helped stage a passionate and lively event with Sheffield Palestine Cultural Exchange (SPaCE) to commemorate the 77th year of the Nakba. A hot air balloon was to have gone up flying the Stop Arming Israel banner but high winds prevented this.
This was a grassroots and diverse event, attracting over 250 people, that owed a lot of its success to the local Hilsborough Sheffield PSC group.
Tadhamon sang, Mushier and Sahar spoke , the street band entertained, children made and flew kites, adults weaved Palestinian flags. Enjoy the slideshow
