Member of Sheffield Coalition Against Israelis Apartheid gathered at Sheffield’s Ministry of Justice building today to hand in a letter to David Lammy, Secretary of State for Justice.
Interestingly no one seemed to know who he was or could help us. Even so we left a letter (the text of which is copied below) to demand he meet with hunger strikers who are entering their sixth week without food.
We must remember these people have not been convicted of any crime. They have been on remand for nearly two years. The MoJ own rule is that prisoners on rand must come to court after 6 months.
You can find out more about the hunger strikers from Prisoners for Palestine website
