This amazing weekend saw a surge of protest in Sheffield as the news feeds bombard us with pictures of starving children.
The noisy demands of the train station where pots and pans were banged to great noisy affect for over half an hour to Saturday’s silent march where our anger our rage and deep compassion was reflected by the silence.
The silence today reflected the actual silence of the Western powers – their actions pathetic as the images of starvation come in. Meanwhile Israel’s spokespeople declare that in spite of being the occupying power the starvation is not their fault.
